Born and raised in Pepperell, Dan was the beloved son of the late Francis Ernest LaRose and Doris Irene Bates. He was one of four children, with brothers David, Peter, and Paul LaRose. The LaRose family was well-known in the community, with deep-rooted connections and a commitment to service. Dan’s father, Francis, served in the military during World War II and was laid to rest in New York in 1999.
Dan attended North Middlesex Regional High School, where he was known for his enthusiasm and camaraderie. He furthered his education at Nichols College, earning a degree that would pave the way for his future endeavors. Professionally, Dan was self-employed, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft.
Dan’s commitment to Pepperell was evident in his active participation in local affairs. He was a familiar face at town meetings and community events, always ready to lend a helping hand. His property on Groton Street stood as a testament to his dedication to the town he loved.
